Indonesian Quake Death Toll Rises to 5,400

More relief supplies and aid workers have landed on Indonesia's Java
island to help survivors of Saturday's earthquake, which officials say
killed more than five-thousand-400 people.

The latest emergency teams to arrive in hard-hit Yogyakarta province
include U.S. Marines and aid workers from China, Malaysia and Japan.
Emergency supplies have also arrived from other parts of Indonesia. The
aid workers are trying to get help to an estimated 200-thousand people
made homeless by the six-point-three magnitude quake. But many survivors
say they have received little or no assistance since the quake, and some
have resorted to begging on the streets for help.

Increased activity at the nearby volcano, Mount Merapi, threatens to
worsen the situation. The volcano spewed more clouds of ash and debris
Tuesday, raising concerns it may be close to an eruption.

信爆炸的目标是文化部长沃尔伽拉斯基，沃尔伽拉斯基两年前担任希腊公共秩序
部长，负责雅典奥运会的安全。这次爆炸的地点距沃尔伽拉斯基的住宅大约70米
远。爆炸发生时，这位部长正在家中与家人在一起。没有人声称对这起爆炸负责

Bomb Explodes Outside Greek Culture Minister's Home

A bomb placed beneath a parked car in Athens exploded Tuesday morning
near the home of a Greek Cabinet minister. The blast damaged other cars
but caused no injuries. Police say they believe the explosion was aimed
at Culture Minister George Voulgarakis, who was in charge of security at
the Athens Olympics two years ago, when he was the country's public
order minister.The bomb went off about 70 meters from Voulgarakis's
home. The minister was inside at the time, with his family. No one has
claimed responsibility for the explosion.
